Job description

EEC Solutions is looking for a Region and Culture Instructor / SME (CENTCOM, AFRICOM/EUCOM, SOUTHCOM/NORTHCOM, or PACOM) to support a possible upcoming contract at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL), NJ.

Note: We are seeking resumes for a proposal opportunity. This position is contingent upon contract award. Candidates currently living in a HubZone designated area are encouraged to apply. Only the candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be considered.

Position Description:

Serves as the primary SME and instructor for Region and Culture studies aligned to a specific geographic combatant command (CENTCOM, AFRICOM/EUCOM, SOUTHCOM/NORTHCOM, or PACOM). Develops and delivers country and region-specific instruction on cultural awareness, religious familiarization, partner nation social skills, and counterpart relations to Air Advisor students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide region and culture instruction and evaluations to students (general region or specifically focused).
  • Develop country or subcountry lessons and instruction tailored to assigned geographic theater.
  • Teach subjects including, but not limited to: Interpreter Application, Counterpart Relations and Rapport, Regional/Country Orientation, Cultural Awareness, Country Overviews, Religious Familiarization, Partner Nation Social Skills, regionally focused Public Affairs and Media Relations, and Organizational Cultural Competence.
  • Liaison with the USAF Culture and Language Center (CLC), Air Force Geographic Component Commands, HAF, MAJCOMs, CNAFs, ANG country teams, other services, and functional commands to ensure curriculum remains current and relevant.
  • Develop, update, revise, and deliver curriculum and courseware IAW USAF EOS policy.
  • Complete USAF EOS instructional methods course; maintain 180 hours of instruction within first year; maintain satisfactory or above on Government evaluations.
  • Serve as SME focal point for assigned geographic region; assist in other disciplines as directed by the Site Manager.
  • Minimun Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university, related to International Studies of a specific country or region in the theater of operations for which hired.
  • Deployed as a Military Advisor, PAS Officer, RAS Officer, FAO, PRT member, attaché, or Security Cooperation Officer (or equivalent advisory role); direct experience working with partner nation counterparts in the theater of operations for which hired..
  • Regionspecific language proficiency or cultural expertise a plus; USAF EOS Academic Instructor Course or equivalent upon hire.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; CAC required within two weeks of start date.
  • Verification of intheater advisory experience and regional/cultural academic background required. Applicants must specify geographic track (CENTCOM, AFRICOM/EUCOM, SOUTHCOM/NORTHCOM, or PACOM) in application.
  • Preferred Qualification:
  • Formal language training, incountry residency, or prior assignment as a Foreign Area Officer (FAO) in assigned region.
