Job Summary:

As a Functional Principal Consultant, you play a key role in implementing, upgrading, and supporting RightAngle solutions for energy and commodity trading organizations. This position requires proficiency in commodity lifecycles, CTRM/ETRM systems, and related processes such as deal modeling, risk management, scheduling, invoicing, and accounting. The Principal Consultant ensures successful project delivery, provides advisory services to optimize client operations, and delivers a superior client experience throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the RightAngle platform, offering strategic advice and solutions to clients.
  • Design, configure, and test functional modules, ensuring successful implementation and seamless integration into client operations.
  • Document business requirements, implementation designs, test plans, and related deliverables.
  • Work closely with technical teams to develop customizations tailored to client‑specific needs.
  • Develop and support existing solutions by addressing bug fixes, enhancements, and operational issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing and quality assurance activities to validate solution functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Leverage an understanding of front, middle, and back‑office operations to meet client business needs effectively.
  • Ensure software designs prioritize scalability, robustness, maintainability, and integration with other systems.
  • Follow best practices, maintain documentation standards, and adhere to resolution process workflows.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in Accounting or Scheduling within RightAngle
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of key modules within CTRM systems and commodity/energy operations.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical teams to create custom solutions.
  • Proficiency in CTRM systems to address complex business challenges across multiple markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality solutions independently or as part of a team.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills, with a focus on client success.
  • Self‑driven and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in professional services delivering CTRM/ETRM solutions, with expertise in RightAngle S15 or higher.
  • Experience in quality assurance and validation of CTRM/ETRM solutions.
