Job description

As Software Engineer within PNC's Finance Accounting Tech organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH or Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX.
We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer with strong experience in Informatica, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and Unix scripting to support data integration and batch processing across enterprise systems. This role will also play a part in future modernization efforts as we transition away from legacy deployment tools.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and packages using Oracle SQL/PLSQL
Create and maintain Unix shell scripts for automation and batch processing
Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot batch jobs using CA7 or similar scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, Control-M)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver scalable data solutions
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across systems
Support production deployments and provide on-call or issue resolution as needed
Participate in documentation of processes, workflows, and technical solutions
Assist in gradual application and deployment modernization efforts
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in ETL development or data engineering
Strong hands-on experience with Informatica ETL tools
Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting
Working knowledge of job scheduling tools (CA7 or equivalent)
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Basic exposure to mainframe environments (e.g., JCL, legacy systems)
Experience with Teradata or similar data warehouse platforms
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices
Modernization / Future-State Skills (Nice to Have)
Basic familiarity with Spring Boot (minimal current usage)
Awareness or exposure to OpenShift and Angular (not currently in use)
Interest or experience in modern deployment and CI/CD practices
