Your future role on our team
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll take part inengineering proposals and projects in the mining and metals industry across theUnited States and Canada. You'll also be responsible for ensuring the qualityof professional services delivered while maintaining strong relationships withclients and internal teams.
You'll play a key role throughout all phases ofengineering projects, helping deliver high-quality technical solutions. You'llalso visit client sites occasionally, support business development efforts andmentor junior engineers to support team growth.

  • Participate in engineering studies, design, and project delivery
  • Prepare technical documents such as reports, specifications and deliverables
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated solutions
  • Help prepare proposals and engineering service estimates

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Participate in site visits, inspections and commissioning activities, as required

Summary of certifications and jobrequirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States, or eligible
  • Strong asset if candidate has PE license in either Arizona or Nevada
  • From 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mining, energy or heavy industry
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary consulting engineering environment
  • Ability to interpret process and engineering documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, drawings)
  • Field experience (construction, commissioning, site support)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and teams
  • Valid driver's license and available for occasional travel
  • Experience with power systems design, protection and control
  • Experience with electrical studies and standards (IEEE, CSA, ANSI, IEC, etc.)
  • Experience with LV, MV, HV distribution systems, substations and motor control centers
  • Experience with relay coordination, protection schemes and system reliability
  • Experience with load flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding and harmonics
  • Experience with single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams and cable schedules
  • Experience with transformers, switchgear, drives, motors and electrical packages
  • Participation in area classification and HAZOP/HAZID
  • Knowledge of IEEE, ULC, ANSI, IEC and regional electrical codes
  • Asset: advanced engineering degree (M.Sc. or equivalent)
  • Asset: experience in engineering estimates and proposal preparation
  • Asset: project management and project control skills
  • Asset: experience with relevant software and design tools (AutoCAD, ETAP, etc.)
