Position Summary

Our Renewables Processing Supervisor oversees daily ethanol production to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operations while meeting throughput and performance targets. Responsibilities will include monitoring plant performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas of production improvements, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring accurate shift data and reporting, including production and laboratory results. The position ensures strict compliance with Process Safety Management, EHS requirements, SOPs, and company policies, while actively supporting incident investigations and corrective actions. This role will also manage a team and its workload, preventative maintenance activities, and documentation of equipment issues, and support our planned maintenance outages. Strong communication and leadership are essential, including coordinating with crossfunctional teams and departments, developing employees through training and mentoring, and managing scheduling, performance, and overall team engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily ethanol production activities to ensure consistent, efficient throughput and optimal performances.

  • Monitor plant performance, identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to achieve production goals and minimize downtime.

  • Ensure timely and accurate shift data collection, including lab data. Verify that all required shift reports including the Daily Production Report are completed and properly entered into designated systems of record.

  • Oversee adherence to Process Safety Management program, ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) protocols, SOPs, and company policies. Promptly report all unsafe working conditions and incidents.

  • Support and participate in incident investigations to identify root causes, contribute to solutions and implement corrective actions.

  • Manage team's workload including preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, ensuring all equipment issues are accurately documented.

  • Support the operational integration of new processes and support the planning and execution of maintenance outages.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, peers, leadership and cross-functional partners to maintain shift alignment, share operational updates, and escalate issues as needed.

  • Lead team development by providing training, mentoring, and ongoing support in skill-building, safety practices and procedures.

  • Manage routine personnel responsibilities including shift scheduling, timekeeping, performance reviews, corrective actions, vacation planning and overall team engagement and productivity.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline required)

  • 3-5 years' relevant experience required (Production or Chemical environment preferred)

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • Work is performed in a 24x7 ethanol production facility.

  • The Processing team operates on a 12-hour shift schedule, including weekends and holidays.

  • Shift assignments will include day and night shifts. While generally consistent, assignments may change based on business needs. Flexibility to work either shift is required.

  • This role involves frequent exposure to adverse weather conditions,dust, fumes, noise,andpotentially hazardous materials.

  • Must be willing and able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

  • Some work performed in heights
