Job description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll support the full preconstruction and bidding process on a wide range of projects from $20 million to $150 million while working alongside experienced estimating professionals.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys analyzing project details, working with numbers, and collaborating with teams to deliver complete, competitive proposals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope gaps and risks
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs across all CSI divisions
  • Develop labor, material, and equipment pricing and build cost estimates
  • Assist with subcontractor outreach, bid tracking, and proposal comparisons
  • Help prepare bid packages, summaries, and final deliverables
  • Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing information
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to incorporate constructability and schedule input
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and RFIs as needed
  • Support continuous improvement of estimating tools and processes

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of estimating or construction-related experience
  • Experience estimating and bidding on OSHPD/HCAI, DSA, Higher Education, and Public Works projects
  • Proficiency in estimating software, digital take-off tools, and Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of construction methods, materials, and trade sequencing
  • Ability to interpret construction documents and communicate clearly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field experience
  • Familiarity with California subcontractor pricing and labor markets
  • Experience working on projects ranging from $10M-$150M
  • Exposure to scheduling tools such as PowerProject or Planera
