Job Description:
Compensation
$125,000 - $150,000 Annually
Job Summary
The Estimator 2 will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing project plans and specifications for special requirements and conditions in order to produce a complete estimate for assigned projects. It is expected that this will be done in close coordination with operations and senior estimating team members.
Main Responsibilities
  • Ability to close out bid with support for senior team members
  • Ability to level subcontractor quotes for bid selection
  • Ability to prepare detailed accurate estimates
  • Determine method of construction to be used and accurately estimate required labor, equipment, and materials to construct project
  • Perform detailed takeoff for earthwork and structures (per specialization, if applicable)
  • Review and incorporate historical data into unit and manhour figures
  • Set up budgets, code subcontracts, and help the admin team prepare PO's
  • Work with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate bid cost
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or Construction technology or an equivalent combination
  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in estimating cost control and/or engineering related experience
  • Clear driving record
