Estimating Associates are professionals who support the preparation of cost estimates for projects, typically in industries like construction, manufacturing, or engineering. They collect and analyze data on labor, materials, and time requirements, and help create accurate bids or proposals. As an Estimating Associate, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and sometimes clients to gather project requirements and clarify scope. You'll assist in preparing accurate cost estimates by collecting data, reviewing plans, and coordinating with vendors or subcontractors for pricing. Regular meetings and clear communication are essential, as your input helps project managers make informed decisions and develop competitive bids. This collaborative environment not only enhances your teamwork skills but also provides valuable insight into various aspects of project management and execution.
