About the Role

The Estate Host works in unison with all departments, providing exceptional customer service while offering a welcoming and memorable experience for business clients and guests. This role is responsible for helping communicate the uniqueness of the winery through a consistent and impactful brand message.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as an ambassador of the company by delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Coordinate, confirm, and manage guest reservations via phone, email, and CellarPass. 

  •  Schedule and choreograph appointments to ensure optimal guest flow within tasting room space constraints. 

  • Welcome, greet, and direct guests, providing facility information and general assistance in person and by phone. 

  • Manage reservations, seating, and table assignments to maximize traffic, maintaining awareness of table availability, guest location, and business flow.

  • Assign tables to wine educators within designated sections and communicate guest details. 

  • Capture and maintain accurate guest data at reservation, confirmation, and arrival, ensuring reservation software accuracy.

  • Prepare daily tasting room tasting and event schedules and support internal and external communication through reservation phone and email lines. 

  • Ensure tables are properly located and set daily for anticipated reservations and keep merchandise neat and stocked.

  • Communicate tasting room traffic levels and VIP guest information.

  • Build and retain ambassadors through guest engagement, follow-up, and accurate, enthusiastic descriptions of tasting room options.

  • Support tasting room operations and onsite events.

About you

  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Professional personal presentation 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with polished, professional English 
  • Ability to multitask, remain detail-oriented, adapt to change, and work effectively under pressure 
  • Punctual, reliable, and flexible 
  • Knowledge of Paso Robles wineries, restaurants, and hotels is a plus 
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus 
  • Valid California Food Handler's Certification 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, geographic location, internal equity, and market considerations.
