We are looking for an experienced business immigration attorney to join a boutique law firm serving clients in California. Responsibilities:
• Manage a full caseload of employment-based immigration matters from strategy through filing and final resolution, with minimal day-to-day oversight.
• Prepare and review complex legal submissions, including detailed responses to government requests and other supporting advocacy documents.
• Advise corporate clients on business immigration options and provide clear guidance tailored to their workforce needs and long-term objectives.
• Oversee both nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters, ensuring deadlines, documentation, and case progress are handled accurately and efficiently.
• Supervise paralegals and support staff in a remote setting, delegating work effectively and maintaining high standards of quality.
• Communicate regularly with clients and internal team members to provide updates, resolve issues, and sustain strong service delivery.
• Contribute legal analysis and practical recommendations on specialized matters, including extraordinary ability and outstanding researcher cases when applicable.
• At least 5 years of experience practicing business immigration law with a reputable firm, including substantial exposure to employment-based matters.
• Active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction and a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated ability to independently handle a full caseload of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters.
• Excellent legal writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality, case-specific work product.
• Strong organizational skills and a high level of personal accountability when balancing competing deadlines.
• Experience working effectively in a remote setting and directing paralegals or other legal support professionals from a home office.
• Ability to provide a relevant writing sample during the hiring process.
• Familiarity with extraordinary ability and outstanding researcher cases, including O-1 and EB-1, is preferred.
