Job description

We are looking for an experienced business immigration attorney to join a boutique law firm serving clients in California. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a lawyer who values thoughtful client service, steady case management, and a collaborative work environment. The role supports a diverse portfolio of companies, including innovative organizations in technology, artificial intelligence, life sciences, and eSports, and offers the chance to handle sophisticated immigration matters with a high level of autonomy.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a full caseload of employment-based immigration matters from strategy through filing and final resolution, with minimal day-to-day oversight.
• Prepare and review complex legal submissions, including detailed responses to government requests and other supporting advocacy documents.
• Advise corporate clients on business immigration options and provide clear guidance tailored to their workforce needs and long-term objectives.
• Oversee both nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters, ensuring deadlines, documentation, and case progress are handled accurately and efficiently.
• Supervise paralegals and support staff in a remote setting, delegating work effectively and maintaining high standards of quality.
• Communicate regularly with clients and internal team members to provide updates, resolve issues, and sustain strong service delivery.
• Contribute legal analysis and practical recommendations on specialized matters, including extraordinary ability and outstanding researcher cases when applicable.• At least 5 years of experience practicing business immigration law, preferably gained with an established and reputable firm.
• Active attorney license in a U.S. state and a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a substantial employment-based immigration caseload across both contract and permanent matters.
• Strong legal writing and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting nuanced responses for complex cases.
• Highly organized and accountable work style with the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining excellent client service.
• Prior experience working successfully in a remote environment and directing the work of paralegals or other legal support professionals.
• Availability to provide a relevant writing sample during the hiring process.
• Familiarity with O-1 and EB-1 extraordinary ability or outstanding researcher matters is preferred.
