QUALIFICATIONS
PARAPROFESSIONAL I (GRADE 18):
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester
hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful
completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher.
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
• Bilingual; required to be fluent in English and fluent in the language of the students for the allocated
position. Must be approved by District ESOL Coordinator.
PARAPROFESSIONAL II (GRADE 19):
EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED:
• Associate• s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required.
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
• Bilingual; required to be fluent in English and fluent in the language of the students for the allocated
position. Must be approved by District ESOL Coordinator.
