ESL Instructor / Academic Assistant
A CEA-accredited ESL school serving international and domestic students is seeking an ESL Instructor / Academic Assistant to join our academic team.
This teaching-focused position combines approximately 25 hours of classroom instruction per week with selected academic support and coordination responsibilities. The role is ideal for an experienced ESL instructor who enjoys teaching and is interested in contributing to curriculum, assessment, and academic operations within a collaborative environment.
You will work closely with a small team of instructors and school leadership to support student success and maintain academic quality.
Full-time or part-time schedules may be considered for the right candidate.

Teaching Schedule
Approximately 5 hours of teaching per day
Primarily daytime classes
12 evening classes per week
The schedule is consistent each semester and planned in advance
This position is designed as a long-term role within our academic team
Responsibilities
Teach ESL courses to adult international and domestic students
Support academic operations and coordination
Assist with curriculum, assessment, and instructional materials as needed
Help maintain course materials, assessments, and academic records
Communicate with instructors and students regarding academic issues
Provide occasional substitute coverage when needed
Maintain high academic standards aligned with accreditation requirements
Qualifications
Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education, Second Language Acquisition, or a closely related field with substantial TESOL coursework required
Minimum one year of adult ESL teaching experience required; additional experience preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a small academic team
Interest in curriculum, assessment, academic support, and program development
Experience with curriculum design, assessment development, accreditation standards, or academic coordination is preferred
