District LPAC Clerk, Bil/ESL/LOTE Department
The position of a District LPAC Clerk will be available at East Central ISD for the 2026-2027 school year. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Support the implementation and management of LPAC responsibilities for assigned dual language academies, ESL programs at three middle schools, and one high school campus. Maintain accurate and auditable LPAC records, assist with required assessment documentation, support BOY/MOY/EOY LPAC cycles, and coordinate records and reports needed for bilingual, ESL, and dual language program compliance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Maintain LPAC records for assigned campuses, including documentation for program identification, placement, parent permission or denial, assessment decisions, progress reviews, reclassification, monitoring, and end-of-year review.
  2. Prepare and organize required documentation for BOY, MOY, and EOY LPAC meetings across assigned campuses.
  3. Enter, retrieve, and verify LPAC information in district student information systems and online LPAC platforms.
  4. Run reports and maintain campus trackers for emergent bilingual students, English proficient students in the dual language program, student on monitor status, newcomers, and students requiring follow-up documentation.
  5. Assist LPAC administrators with preparation of student records before LPAC meetings and with filing after LPAC decisions are completed.
  6. Support coordination and documentation of Oral Language Proficiency testing in English and Spanish for eligible students, as directed by the Bilingual/ESL/LOTE Department.
  7. Compile state and local assessment data, teacher input, testing information, and program records needed for LPAC review.
  8. Maintain documentation for STAAR, STAAR Spanish, TELPAS, TELPAS Alternate, and EOC decisions as applicable to assigned campuses.
  9. Support secondary LPAC processes by helping run schedules, cross-check enrolled courses, verify assessment needs, and prepare documentation for designated supports and linguistic accommodations.
  10. Assist with preparation and maintenance of documentation for years in U.S. schools, special provisions, and other required student records.
  11. Coordinate with campus PEIMS staff, registrars, counselors, and prior school districts when records, assessment data, LPAC documents, or other information are needed to complete the LPAC process.
  12. Maintain auditable LPAC folders and electronic records according to district procedures and department expectations.
  13. Prepare documentation for local audits, district monitoring, and program compliance reviews.
  14. Respond to campus and department requests related to LPAC records and reports.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of student records and comply with district, state, and federal requirements related to student information and program documentation.
  16. Participate in professional training required by the Bilingual/ESL/LOTE Department.
  17. Maintain a monthly work log, campus support schedule, and status tracker for assigned LPAC responsibilities.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director/Coordinator of Bilingual/ESL Programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High school graduate or equivalent
Associate degree preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Valid Texas paraprofessional educational aide certificate preferred, if required by district role classification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong organization, accuracy, confidentiality, and follow-through.
Ability to read and follow detailed written and verbal procedures.
Working knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, Word, Google Docs, email, scanners, printers, and basic office technology.
Ability to maintain reliable student records across multiple campuses.
Ability to communicate professionally with campus staff, parents, students, and outside districts.
Ability to work under timelines, interruptions, and multiple compliance windows.
Experience:
Three years of clerical or school office experience preferred
Experience with student information systems, LPAC platforms, bilingual/ESL records, testing documentation, PEIMS support, or campus compliance work preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling, carrying, and running. Frequent light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); occasional heavy lifting (45 pounds or over) and positioning for students with physical disabilities, controlling behavior through physical restraint, assisting non-ambulatory students, and lifting and moving adaptive and other classroom equipment. Work inside and outside (exposure to the sun, heat, cold and inclement weather); exposure to noise; exposure to biological hazards. Normal office environment. Travel to the district warehouse and campuses.
