Matteson School District 162 is seeking a full time reading specialist. The candidate for this position must be articulate, well-organized, and very knowledge about best practice reading instructional strategies, assessing student literacy skills, and development of individual student literacy lessons to improve their reading/writing achievement. The candidate must possess a strong understanding of technology and reading software programs. A proven track record of increasing student achievement in reading is essential.
Candidates must possess an Illinois Teaching License, have an endorsement as a reading specialist, and be qualified as determined by the Illinois State Board of Education.
