Position Summary:

We are currently looking for anControls Designer Level 1to join our growing team based out of Calgary Alberta. As anControls Designer Level 1you will be involved in the installation, commissioning and servicing of commercial building automation systems. This position requires a good working knowledge of PC fundamentals, PC Networking / LAN, basic electronic theory and Building Electrical / Mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department.
  • Assist with site commissioning, point to point verifications, troubleshootingandstartup of a variety of Building Automation Systems.
  • Learn and demonstrate a thorough understanding of ESC Safe Work and H&S Policies.
  • Understand fundamentals of how HVAC systems operate on commercial buildings.
  • Work with and understand HVAC and Digital Control fundamentals
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of BAS Networking and Building System Integration.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Fluent in English - both written and oral.
  • The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation.
  • Graduate of Post-Secondary technical or engineering program.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office.
  • Medium physical duties, the ability to stand for long periods of time in a construction environment, the ability to climb ladders and at times work from heights.
  • Some programming experience an asset
