Salary: Daily rate established by district
Job Summary: Substitute Teacher serves as a temporary replacement for regular classroom teachers during their absence, providing instruction and maintaining a structured learning environment in accordance with the district's educational policies. The substitute teacher ensures continuity of student learning and upholds classroom management practices while fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement lesson plans left by the regular teacher or develop appropriate classroom activities if lesson plans are unavailable.
  • Maintain order in the classroom and manage student behavior following school policies.
  • Deliver instruction in various subjects across grade levels, adapting teaching methods to meet student needs.
  • Take attendance and document any student issues or notable classroom occurrences for the returning teacher.
  • Provide students with necessary instructional support and guidance while promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, administrators, and students. Adhere to all district policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement).
