Are you a strategic problem-solver who bridges the gap between complex finance operations and technical solutions? Cretex is looking for an ERP Business Analyst to serve as the functional architect of our Epicor Kinetic environment. In this role, you wonโ€™t just manage a system, you will optimize the engine that powers our financial operationsโ€”from streamlining month-end closes to architecting custom business logicโ€”you will partner directly with leadership to ensure our technology matches our ambition.

How Youโ€™ll Make an Impact
  • Be the Epicor Subject Matter Expert: Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of Epicor Kinetic, specifically focusing on Finance modules (GL, AP/AR, Asset Management, and Cost Accounting).
  • Bridge Business & Tech: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business needs into sleek, functional technical requirements.
  • Optimize Financial Workflows: Identify bottlenecks in forecasting and closing processes, implementing automated solutions that save time and increase data integrity.
  • Drive Data-Driven Decisions: Use DMT (Data Management Tool) and SQL to ensure seamless data migration, system upgrades, and high-level reporting accuracy.
  • Lead Quality Assurance: Own the end-to-end testing lifecycle, ensuring every update or customization is bulletproof before it hits production.
  • Empower the Team: Create high-quality documentation and lead training sessions that turn end-users into Epicor power users.
Responsibilities Essential Job Functions
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business units, stakeholders, and end-users to gather, document, and refine business requirements, while analyzing current business processes and workflows to identify and recommend improvement opportunities.
  • System Design and Build:
    • Design, build and implement software solutions that address identified business needs and requirements.
    • Configure the ERP system to meet finance business process needs. If needed, utilize development tools, programming languages, and databases to create custom applications or modify existing systems.
    • Expert in upgrades, DMT tool, and business process integration delivering ERP configurations aligned with finance business process needs.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and execute test plans to validate software solutions against business requirements.
    • Perform data validation and follow quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
    • Identify and resolve software defects and issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation:
    • Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional design specifications, technical design specifications, and user training.
    • Maintain accurate records of system changes and updates.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
    • Present findings, progress, and proposed solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions and process improvements.
    • Focus on delivering standard Epicor Kinetic supported solutions, including enhancements, while thoroughly understanding business operations.
Qualifications
  • Epicor Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Epicor (Kinetic preferred) You know the systemโ€™s strengths and how to leverage them for finance and accounting.
  • Finance Fluency: You speak the language of finance operations. You understand the month-end closing and cost accounting processes.
  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency in SQL Server and the Epicor DMT. You are comfortable navigating databases and visualizing data using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Problem-Solving DNA: The ability to look at a manual process and see a path toward improvement, automation and scale.
  • Communication Mastery: You can explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical Finance Manager or a CFO with equal clarity.
  • Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, IT, Business, or a related field
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Project Management experience or certifications (PMP, ScrumMaster, or Epicor certifications).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with Agile development methodologies.

Pay Range
