JD Edwards (JDE) ERP Developer

JD Edwards (JDE) ERP Developer

The JD Edwards ERP Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the JD Edwards Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role demands experience in JD Edwards architecture, tools, and modules, as well as strong problem-solving and coding skills. The Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, customize JD Edwards to meet these needs, and ensure that the system operates efficiently and integrates seamlessly with other enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ERP Development & Customization: Design and implement JD Edwards (JDE) solutions to meet business requirements. Customize and extend JDE functionality using JDE tools such as FDA, RDA, Orchestrator, UBEs, AIS, and BSSV.
  • System Integration: Integration of JD Edwards with other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and real-time communication.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve the performance of JD Edwards systems, optimizing reports, processes, and workflows.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for ongoing issues and troubleshooting, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Participate in the testing and validation of customizations and integrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including customizations, system integrations, and deployment processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expert Knowledge of JD Edwards: Experience with JD Edwards - including recent experience with E1 9.2 with modules like Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Distribution.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in JD Edwards development such as FDA, RDA, Business Functions and BSSV. Experience with C++, Java and other programming languages are a bonus.
  • Integration Expertise: Experience with JD Edwards integration technologies such as JDE E1 Orchestrator, BSSV, FTP, and Web Services.
  • Database & SQL: Solid understanding of JD Edwards database architecture, proficient in SQL, and experience with Oracle.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, with a methodical approach to resolving issues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification: JD Edwards certifications (such as JDE E1 Development or EnterpriseOne certifications) are a plus.
  • Experience with Cloud-based JD Edwards: Familiarity with JD Edwards on AWS Cloud or hybrid environments.
  • DSI MEP Expertise: Proficient knowledge of DSI MEP (Mobile Enterprise Platform) and experience integrating mobile applications with JD Edwards for real-time field data, inventory management, or asset tracking. Experience with other mobile applications will be considered.

  • Collaborative team setting, working with various stakeholders across business functions.
  • A mix of project-based work, system maintenance, and support for ongoing ERP operations.

Education & Experience:

  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
