Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities

Inventory Organization & Material Flow

  • Receive, sort, and stage incoming bulk inventory packages, directing materials to their correct next process step (e.g., inspection, storage, kitting, or shipping) based on established workflows.
  • Organize and inventory bulk packages using a combination of physical handling and inventory software/ERP tools to ensure items are properly labeled, located, and tracked.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems to improve efficiency, space utilization, and accessibility of inventory.
  • Complete the full-cycle inventory induction process, encompassing receiving, inspection, and cycle count lifecycles.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline and optimize the flow of inventory across departments.

Data Management & Accuracy (ERP/Inventory systems)

  • Use the ERP system to maintain real-time visibility, accuracy, and traceability of parts and materials.
  • Enter and edit part records in the inventory system, supporting real-time inventory visibility and data integrity from receiving through distribution.
  • Identify, investigate, and correct discrepancies affecting inventory data integrity and cost accuracy.
  • Prepare reports reconciling inventory discrepancies and maintain accurate cost records following system uploads.
  • Support the planning and coordination of owned and consigned inventory in line with established procedures.

Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain standards and procedures for parts flow and bulk inventory handling.
  • Continuously evaluate inventory management processes and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Partner with the Inventory Management team to standardize processes across the warehouse.
  • Actively contribute to a continuous improvement culture within warehouse operations.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures; maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Comply with applicable company, industry, and regulatory standards (e.g., AS9100/ISO9001) for material handling, storage, and traceability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary training in logistics, supply chain, materials management, or a related field is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general data entry.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across warehouse, Inventory Management, and support teams.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials and packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout a warehouse environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment; forklift certification is an asset, or willingness to obtain certification.

Experience

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, material handling, inventory control, or a related environment.
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management software (e.g., SAP or similar systems).
  • Previous aerospace or MRO experience is considered an asset.
