  • Design, test, deploy, and troubleshoot Sage 100 customizations including User Defined Fields (UDFs), User Defined Tables (UDTs), User Defined Scripts (UDS), Custom Office enhancements, and role-specific screen modifications.
  • Analyze existing Sage 100 customizations and recommend improvements to reduce technical debt, improve reliability, and preserve future upgrade compatibility.
  • Support Sage 100 tools and technical capabilities such as Visual Integrator, Business Object Interface concepts, scripting, custom reports, and third-party add-on configuration.
Integrations & Data Management
  • Support integrations between Sage 100 and related systems including warehouse, EDI, payment processing, tax, reporting, shipping, and other business-critical applications.
  • Analyze and resolve interface failures, data synchronization issues, transaction errors, and integration exceptions.
  • Develop and support data extracts, imports, reconciliations, validation procedures, and conversion activities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Sage 100 data structures, file layouts, transaction flows, and downstream data dependencies.
Technical Troubleshooting & Support
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex Sage 100 application, customization, reporting, data, and integration issues.
  • Perform detailed root cause analysis and coordinate resolution across internal IT teams, vendors, developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Monitor recurring issues and recommend permanent corrective actions that improve stability, reliability, and supportability.
  • Support production issue triage, change validation, and post-deployment stabilization activities.
Reporting & Technical Data Analysis
  • Create and maintain SQL queries, data extracts, report requirements, report validations, and technical documentation for ERP reporting needs.
  • Support reporting tools and custom reports used with Sage 100, including Crystal Reports, SSRS, Power BI, or similar platforms where applicable.
  • Investigate reporting discrepancies by tracing data across Sage 100 tables, custom fields, integrations, and downstream reporting environments.
  • Support data governance efforts by identifying data quality issues, validation gaps, and integration-related risks.
Testing, Release & Upgrade Support
  • Lead technical testing activities including configuration testing, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and deployment validation.
  • Develop technical test plans, scripts, validation scenarios, and release checklists for Sage 100 changes and related integrations.
  • Support Sage 100 upgrades, patches, third-party add-on updates, compatibility testing, and cutover planning.
  • Coordinate release readiness and post-release support with ERP Technical Lead, vendors, developers, infrastructure resources, and business testers.
Project & Technical Workstream Leadership
  • Lead technical workstreams for Sage 100 enhancements, integrations, reporting initiatives, upgrades, and operational improvement projects.
  • Provide effort estimates, technical risk assessments, implementation options, and solution recommendations.
  • Coordinate technical activities with vendors, contractors, ERP Analysts, developers, and cross-functional IT teams.
  • Support project planning, status reporting, issue tracking, and dependency management under the direction of the ERP Technical Lead.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to ERP Analysts and business super users on Sage 100 functionality, configurations, data, testing, and troubleshooting practices.
  • Promote consistent documentation standards for technical requirements, customizations, processes, integrations, reports, and support procedures.
  • Contribute to ERP governance by helping establish standards for configuration, scripting, testing, documentation, and change control.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of ERP application support, configuration, implementation, or technical analyst experience.

  • Experience translating approved business requirements into technical requirements, functional specifications, configuration designs, testing criteria, and support documentation.
  • Experience with Sage 100 configuration, data structures, reporting, integrations, and transaction processing.
  • Experience developing, supporting, or troubleshooting Sage 100 User Defined Fields (UDFs), User Defined Tables (UDTs), User Defined Scripts (UDS), Custom Office enhancements, or similar Sage 100 customizations.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, database querying, data validation, data extracts, or reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting ERP testing, deployment, upgrade, and release management activities.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, technical documentation, and communication skills.
