ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a detail-orientated and technically proficient ERP System Developer with 2-3 years of experience to support, enhance, and expand our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system along with other software (CRM, HCM, QMS, ECM) in an enterprise manufacturing digital landscape. You will participate in assessing business requirements and software needs and convert these requirements into functionality that enhances the effectiveness of the ERP system while ensuring development meets compliance standards for an aerospace & defense and life sciences manufacturer. General duties will include software analysis, working with technical teams, developing program design specifications, and presenting plans of action strategic stakeholders to deliver scalable ERP solutions that align with business goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and Development: Architect, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions integrated with the ERP platform or other enterprise software systems (CRM, HCM, QMS, ECM), ensuring alignment with strategic and tactical business objectives.
  • ERP Customization and Optimization : Customize ERP components to enhance business workflows, improve user experience, and enforce application consistency and scalability.
  • Technical Standards and Documentation: Establish and maintain ERP coding standards, architectural documentation, and technical specifications to support maintainability and scalability.
  • Collaboration and Requirements Gathering: Partner with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, evaluate workflows, and deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Reporting and Interface Development: Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and system interfaces using ERP system tools and third-party applications.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct unit testing, debug software issues, and validate system functionality to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Code Quality and Best Practices: Participate in code reviews and promote adherence to architectural and development best practices across ERP projects.
  • Integration Development: Design and implement API integrations between ERP systems and other enterprise applications.
  • Technical Support and Training: Create and distribute user manuals, technical guides, and support documentation to facilitate system adoption and troubleshooting.
  • Project Communication: Monitor and report project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and team leads in a timely and transparent manner.
  • System Maintenance and Upgrades: Support ERP upgrades, patching, and performance tuning initiatives to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with ERP technologies, development frameworks, and industry trends to drive innovation and efficiency.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Proficiency in software development, systems analysis, and IT principles.
  • Hands-on experience with the .NET Framework (C# or Visual Basic).
  • Experience with bi-directional system integrations, APIs, and data migration and automation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Azure DevOps, GIT, Jira, Power BI, and Epicor ERP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, Copilot and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities effectively.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience with manufacturing ERP systems, preferably Epicor ERP.
  • Proficiency in ERP development tools and languages (e.g., C#, SQL, BAQ, BPM, SSRS).
  • Strong understanding of business processes in manufacturing, finance, or supply chain.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment across multiple simultaneous projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Epicor Kinetic customization tools and frameworks.
  • Understanding of A&D compliance requirements (AS9100D, ITAR, CMMC).
  • Experience with SaaS Gov cloud environment architecture.
  • Awareness of ethical data usage and governance best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with AI Agent development and management.
  • ERP-related certifications or training.
