Your Job:
 

As the Functional Analyst - ERP at Brooks, you will participate in the requirements elicitation, design, development, testing, implementation, support, and maintenance of ERP solutions that meet Brooks' business requirements. These may span across other systems, applications, and data sources within the enterprise. You will leverage your ERP experience to engage with IT and business teams (from Product, Finance, Supply Chain, Digital Products, eCommerce, Customer Service) to understand business processes and requirements and ensure that ERP functionality meets these.

As part of the global team focused on ERP and related integrations, you will work with architects and partner closely with other analysts and engineers to ensure that the design meets the business requirements and is aligned with enterprise solution guidelines. This position spans the full engineering lifecycle and upholds IT best practices, including ITIL-based change management and control process.

Responsibilities:
ERP System Deliver
In context of all execution - Projects, Enhancement Requests or Operations support:
  • Gather and translate requirements to create functional specifications, perform and maintain application configurations, collaborate with functional area SMEs to ensure alignment between the implemented process and business requirements.

  • Collaborate with business teams and leverage your ERP knowledge to understand business operations and processes. Map business processes to ERP functionality, recommend process improvements and implement automation to improve process execution efficiency, where applicable.

  • Work internally with Architects to understand cloud solution architecture and interdependencies between various ERP cloud suite components and externally with other enterprise solutions, such as OMS, WMS, PLM, etc.

  • Articulate functional specification and business process context to engineers to facilitate the creation of technical specifications and thorough test cases.

  • Build a robust harness of test cases, including regression and volume testing cases, to ensure rigorous testing in Unit testing, SIT and UAT testing. Work with Project Managers to provide input into test strategy and test planning. Document defects in detail and perform rigorous testing to ensure quality.

  • Actively support business SMEs to ensure User Acceptance Test completion.

  • Maintain data mappings for integrations. Provide subject matter knowledge and support for the creation of new and already established data integrations between ERP and other enterprise systems such as WMS, OMS, B2B and B2C platforms, etc., in projects as well as supporting production issues.

  • Leverage data to validate process outcomes and efficacy. Demonstrate proficiency with ERP data model by contextualizing business processes and related complex data requirements and writing SQL queries for data retrieval, data analysis, identifying data anomalies and problem solving.

  • Data Custodian into the Data Governance process for data topics/subjects relevant to the ERP.

 
ERP System Management 
  • Take part in upgrades, feature reviews, and system enhancements by systematically planning and coordinating updates and feature releases of cloud ERP.

  • Conduct patch and upgrade impact assessments by reviewing release notes and following the opt-in process to evaluate which features need to be enabled through feature toggles. Fully understand and account for any impacts to the business processes introduced as a result of this change.

  • Ensure only thoroughly tested features/functions are released into the production environment.

 
Project Collaboration
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful execution of complex projects.

  • Participate in end-to-end cross-functional projects or enhancements, from requirements gathering to development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support ensuring that tasks are aligned with project goals.

  • Provide task progress to the Project Manager to ensure timely delivery within budget and scope

 
Operations Support & Incident Resolution
  • Support on-premise ERP and related components' upgrade and patching.

  • Monitor and respond to incidents, alerts, and service requests related to ERP systems and related business processes; analyze and resolve support tickets and issues within in a timely manner (per the defined SLAs) to minimize downtime and disruptions; as needed, conduct and publish the RCA for the priority and impacting issues.

  • Liaison with business stakeholders and cloud ERP support to ensure speedy and successful resolution of issues.

  • Troubleshoot technical system issues, address common user issues, and identify issue patterns. Implement preventive measures and help define SOPs to proactively address recurring issues.

  • Maintain the daily monitoring task list and coordinate issue resolution within IT and with vendors.

  • Conduct/participate periodic user access audit activities.

  • Monitor the cloud ERP system, integrations, and other peripheral technologies to ensure optimal performance and availability.

  • Monitor integrations for data or API related failures and ensure that the messages are reprocessed in a timely manner.

 
Compliance and Security
  • Understand application security concepts in the ERP (roles, access, etc.) and ensure that the detail design considers security compliance to application security setup.

  • Operate with an understanding of Segregation of duties and principle of least privilege.

 
Documentation, Knowledge, & Continuous Improvement
  • Create and maintain up-to-date system and operational documentation at all times and in all execution contexts - including various reference documentation, functional specifications, training materials, business process flows, troubleshooting and support documentation, test scenarios, and test scripts.

  • Stay updated on the latest innovation with extensibility technology within the Cloud ERP solution, use of emerging technologies such as AI, as well as best practices in Cloud ERP.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent combination of education and years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree(s)

  • 5+ years of experience as a Functional or Systems Analyst implementing and supporting ERP and peripheral technologies such as integration layer, document management, etc. in Sporting

    Goods/Fashion (Footwear and Apparel) or CPG or FMCG industry. Experience with Infor M3 on cloud is preferred

  • 5+ years of experience business process and requirements analysis and documentation, developing detailed functional requirements describing system configuration and design in detail, monitoring and alerting configuration, and solution support

  • Preferred experience with automation and workflow creation to support business process improvements

  • Demonstrated functional knowledge of customer order management, supply chain operations, sourcing, fulfillment, logistics, and finance related business processes within the ERP domain

  • Experience with configuring and implementing new business processes and features within the ERP to support new use cases

  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise data integration technologies like EDI, API, etc.

  • Established knowledge of system, data and application architecture standards and frameworks

  • Demonstrated competence in data literacy and data mining in context of ERP Data models and schemas; ability to understand and explain to stakeholders the role of specific data subjects and processes necessary to support ERP functions

  • Demonstrated competence in use of canonical models in integration context

  • Proficient in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis using SQL and other relevant tools

  • Excellent oral and written skills to communicate technical concepts with diverse audiences

  • Excellent technical documentation skills

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

  • Experience in fashion, consumer goods, wholesale and/or retail industry preferred, but not required

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $104,217 - $156,325 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
