Job Summary

We are hiring a Civil Engineer to support a range of public and private sector projects, including transportation, utilities, schools, commercial, residential, renewable energy, and site and land development work. This role supports projects from design through permitting and construction, with growing responsibility for technical execution and coordination. The position includes design work, permitting support, and construction administration in a team-based office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare civil engineering designs and technical documents for multi-disciplinary projects
  • Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and supporting reports
  • Perform site grading, drainage, utility, stormwater, and erosion control design
  • Support permitting activities and coordinate with local, state, and regulatory agencies
  • Track permit requirements, approvals, and schedules throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide construction administration support, including site visits, inspections, and project meetings
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to meet scope, schedule, and quality goals
  • Help support junior engineers on project work

Qualifications

Required

  • Registered Civil Engineer in Oregon, or ability to obtain registration within six months
  • EIT with PE test scheduled is acceptable
  • 4+ years of civil engineering experience supporting site, land development, or infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate within a project team
  • Effective communication skills with internal teams, clients, and agency staff

Preferred

  • Familiarity with jurisdictional design standards used by local agencies
  • Working knowledge of land use entitlement and permitting processes
  • Professional Engineer registration in Washington
  • Experience with Vehicle Tracking, ArcGIS, and Bluebeam
  • Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead, CESCL
  • Experience designing and implementing Low Impact Development, LID, features for public and private projects
  • Experience mentoring others or leading project work

Work Environment or Schedule

  • Standard office schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • One hour lunch break
  • Laptop provided
  • Office-based role supporting a collaborative project team
