Job description

Lewis Rice LLC, a prominent downtown St. Louis law firm, is seeking a mid-to-senior level attorney to join our Pension amp; Employee Benefits Practice Group. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with significant experience advising employers, plan sponsors, and organizations on sophisticated employee benefits and health amp; welfare plan matters.

This position offers a highly competitive salary, along with merit-based and client origination bonus opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Ideal Background

  • 5+ years of employee benefits, executive compensation, or ERISA experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Experience advising clients on health amp; welfare benefit plans and related compliance matters
  • Strong working knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, the ACA, and related legal compliance
  • Experience counseling employers and plan sponsors regarding ERISA compliance, employee benefits administration, plan design, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience reviewing and drafting plan documents, summary plan descriptions, employee communications, and related benefits documentation
  • Experience supporting the employee benefits aspects of M amp;A work and other corporate transactions
  • Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage sophisticated advisory matters while maintaining significant client interaction
  • Outstanding academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
