Position Overview

The Junior Industrial Engineer is responsible to support the Site Industrial Engineer or Process Engineer with the optimal process flow and IE facilities for each of our processes, as well as the optimal plant and process layout that allows us to guarantee : a) The safety of our employees, b) The quality of our products, c) The high efficiency of our processes and d) A productive capacity that allows us to complete our deliveries on time. Is also responsible to define and monitor together with the Site IE or PE the optimal cycle times for each operation as well as the Headcount needed in the process to support the requirements.

What you'll do

  • Perform safety process walks on plant processes on weekly basis and ensure effective countermeasures to the identified IE risks, to guarantee zero accidents or ergonomic issues due to process
  • Support the development and implementation of the optimal plant layout
  • Support the development and implementation of the optimal process flow for each process of the plant (including packaging)
  • Take and define operations cycle times for each operation of the plant
  • Audit the cycle times for each operation of the plant in monthly basis
  • Support the definition the headcount required for each process in a monthly basis against forecasted volume
  • Support the development and approval from Plant Staff for the Need to Run format on monthly basis (supported by Engineering Site Lead)
  • Analize the process flow to balance the production lines when required
  • Perform Ergonomic analysis and evaluations to all the operations in the plant
  • Support or Lead Industrial Engineering studies, analysis or evaluations.
  • Support the definition of the best process layout for new processes (Launches/New Projects) together with CoE Process Lead and Engineering Site Lead
  • Define the cycle times with which production will be started for new processes (Launches/New Projects) together with CoE Process Lead and Engineering Site Lead
  • Develop and implement the optimal process flow for new process (Launches/New Projects) together with CoE Process Lead and Engineering Site Lead (including packaging)
  • Support the Launches/New Projects regarding any other IE deliverable
  • Validate the cycle times and headcount during the LV1 performance
  • Lead and perform cycle time and headcount studies (when required)
  • Lead productive capacities studies and validation for current or new processes (when required)
  • Validate the cycle times and headcount during the LV2 performance
  • Support Special projects development and implementation regarding IE topics (as needed)
  • Remove any roadblocks on IE that can prevent us from achieving our Operational Metrics
  • Support the Industrial Engineer or Process Engineer on the IE topics of the plant
  • Establish SMART goals for IE KPIs
  • Keeps communicated to the Industrial Engineer or Process Engineer of any potential risk or major issue on Industrial Engineering

Who you are

  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 6 months to 2 yrs of experience in Industrial Engineering, Process or Manufacturing.
