ER LVNs also help with patient assessments, wound care, and documentation. Their role is crucial in ensuring efficient and effective emergency patient care.

What does an ER LVN do?

A typical shift for an ER LVN involves working closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff to provide hands-on patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities may include taking vital signs, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and documenting patient information. ER LVNs are often the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in triaging and supporting care during high-acuity situations. Their contributions ensure smooth patient flow and help maintain high standards of care during emergencies. Teamwork, adaptability, and decisive action are essential aspects of the daily work experience in this role.
