As a Trade Support Analyst, you will LEAD by..........
The Trade Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of North American precious metals trading operations. The role ensures the accurate processing, confirmation, settlement and reconciliation of commodity transactions while maintaining a robust operational control environment.
Working closely with Trading, Commercial, Logistics, Vault Operations, Finance and global Operations teams, the Trade Support Analyst supports the complete trade lifecycle, resolves operational issues and ensures contractual obligations are met. The role contributes to business continuity by delivering accurate, timely and controlled operational support while identifying opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
Trade Lifecycle Management
  • Verify all trades entered by the Trading team into the trading platform, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in trade bookings.
  • Book average pricing contracts and support the daily reporting of metal pricing positions.
  • Ensure trade confirmations are issued to and received from counterparties within agreed service levels.
  • Follow up on outstanding confirmations and resolve exceptions.
  • Monitor trade lifecycle events through to completion, resolving any operational issues that arise.
  • Investigate and resolve operational queries from Trading, Commercial, Finance, counterparties and global Operations teams.
  • Support commercial transactions and respond promptly to counterparty requests.
  • Reconcile daily trading positions with the Trading team and investigate any differences.

Metal Movements, Settlements and Reconciliations
  • Process daily metal receipts and releases through banking and depository systems.
  • Reconcile precious metal positions with financial institutions.
  • Ensure daily settlement obligations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor forward metal commitments and escalate potential shortages to the Trading team.
  • Process internal and external precious metal account movements accurately.
  • Reconcile inventory positions and investigate discrepancies.
  • Work closely with Logistics to coordinate physical shipments and ensure supporting documentation is complete and accurate.

Supply Chain Support
  • Support operational requirements across the North American supply chain.
  • Work collaboratively with refining and logistics teams to ensure operational requirements are met.
  • Respond to changing business priorities while maintaining operational continuity.

Contract Administration
  • Monitor contractual obligations relating to pricing, delivery and settlement.
  • Identify, investigate and resolve operational discrepancies.
  • Prepare operational reports and management summaries as required.

Business Support
  • Support operational projects, business initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate in testing of system enhancements and new functionality.
  • Assist with onboarding new business partners and maintaining master data within company systems.
  • Maintain accurate operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, strengthen controls and increase efficiency.

Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure operational activities comply with company policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by providing documentation and evidence as required.
  • Maintain accurate records to support financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Escalate operational risks or control weaknesses promptly and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Your elements for success......
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline required
  • Experience within trading operations, financial services, banking, commodities, logistics or supply chain operations is advantageous but not essential.
  • Recent graduates with strong analytical skills and an interest in financial or commodity markets are encouraged to apply.
  • Understanding of trading operations, including commodity transactions, hedging, futures and spot trading, is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve operational issues independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using ERP systems, trading platforms or SAP is advantageous.
