Job description

Overview
Use your skills and certification to help our medical team care for patients and clients. Help our providers deliver high quality care by ensuring accuracy and thoroughness related to medical documentation and records handling. This full-time position is based in Bloomington, IL.
Responsibilities
Review electronic clinical documentation for accuracy and completion using attention to detail skills. Manage paper documents to be scanned and added to electronic medical record (EMR). Distribute incoming faxes. Use time management and prioritization skills to maintain several filing systems and reporting deadlines. Process requests for health records in an accurate and timely manner. Update patient medical orders and medical test results. Review active charts for compliance with agency policies and procedures. Obtain required signatures from patients. Support front office staff as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of MA or CNA training program plus certification as a CMA, CMOA, or CNA. Intermediate computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record. Strong keyboarding skills. Extensive knowledge of common medical and medical office procedures and use of office equipment. Excellent organizational skills. Effective communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, referral sources, staff, vendors, and the public. Attention to detail. Discretion in handling confidential information. Ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks.
