Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team visiting locations in and around the Portland, OR.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, hours will vary between 6am-7pm,. Rotating weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

  • Process billing information and collect payments when required

  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs

  • Provide superior customer service to all patients

  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

  • Travel to additional sites when needed, Reliable transportation required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record

  • Be at least 21 years old

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program

  • 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards:

  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

  • Exceptional customer service

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

We are currently seeking a Float Phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office or Hospital. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM * Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hourly plus mileage reimbursement

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
