Brown & Brown is seeking an IT Program Manager to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL or Plano, TX!

The Program Management leader oversees the successful delivery of security related projects and activities, managed in a coordinated fashion and under a structure that allows for the delivery of outcomes and benefits. The Program Manager is responsible for stewarding critical enterprise investments and supporting strategic and transformational change by providing leadership and direction to assigned programs. Provides guidance to project managers leading projects under the program, coordinates activities between the individual projects into an overall program plan and responsible for the scope, timeline, and budget objectives of the program. The program manager is accountable for maximizing the results of the program's objective and aligns the deliverables (outputs) to the program's "outcome" with the support of the business owners and stakeholders.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Perform daily Program Management throughout the program lifecycle

  • Directs large-scale, complex projects and programs that may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Defines program scope, goals, and deliverables, in collaboration with the business and sponsor, that support business goals in partnership with senior management and stakeholders

  • Defines, creates, and executes the program plan and has a good understanding of the wider objectives of the program

  • Understands the relationships between activities, projects, and entire program without getting swapped by details

  • Manages the main program documentation such as the program kick-off deck, initiation document (Program Charter), program plan, program RAID log and other program level documents

  • Evaluates trade-offs between projects within the program with consideration to include the size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value

  • Responsible for the scope, timeline, and budget objectives of the program

  • Works very closely with project managers throughout the program life-cycles and coordinates the projects under the program and their interdependencies

  • Provides frequent program monitoring and enforcement of schedules, milestones, and vendor accountability

Skills & Experience for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree required; BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or business-related discipline

  • 3-5 years of Program management experience

  • Strong practical experience in project management, which was gained through managing large-scale complex projects OR equivalent experience

  • Ability to lead and manage both on-site and virtual teams globally

  • Experience with budgeting and resource allocation procedures

  • Strong knowledge and handling of project and program management methodologies and techniques

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products

  • Ability to travel approximately 25%

  • Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Experience with one or more Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) software tools (preferred)

  • Project management certification (PMP, CMP or related) (preferred)
