What you will be doing each day

As our Engineering Manager, you will lead and oversee the daily operations of the Engineering department to ensure the hotel’s building systems, equipment, and guest areas are maintained to the highest standards. You will manage preventive maintenance programs, oversee capital projects and repairs, ensure life safety compliance, and support all departments by maintaining a safe, efficient, and well maintained property for our guests and associates.

You will supervise and develop the engineering team, coordinate with vendors and contractors, manage departmental budgets, and ensure compliance with brand standards and local regulations.

You are a hands on leader with strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems. You take pride in maintaining a safe and well functioning environment and understand how critical your role is to the overall guest experience. You are organized, responsive, and able to prioritize multiple projects while leading a team with accountability and respect. You are comfortable working a flexible schedule, including weekends or on call shifts when needed. Experience in hotel engineering or facilities management is required, along with strong leadership and problem solving skills.

Compensation

For applicants who will be working in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $90,000-$100,000 annually; for applicants who will be working in New York, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $90,000.00-100,000.00 annually. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.

Qualifications

5+ years in hotel engineering or commercial facilities maintenance

2+ years managing a team

Experience with preventive maintenance programs, life safety systems, vendor oversight, and capital planning
