Job description

Junior Capital Markets / ATM Associate Attorney – New York

Direct Counsel is seeking a Capital Markets Associate to join a highly respected Am Law firm in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior associate to join a premier corporate practice focused on public securities transactions, with a particular emphasis on at-the-market (ATM) offerings and follow-on equity offerings for leading investment banks and public company clients.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in public securities and/or capital markets work, ideally within a large law firm corporate department. This role is best suited for an associate interested in working closely with investment banks and underwriters on sophisticated, high-volume equity capital markets transactions.

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • 1–2 years of capital markets or public securities experience
  • Experience representing underwriters and/or issuers in public offerings or similar securities transactions
  • Familiarity with ATM offerings, follow-on offerings, and other equity capital markets transactions
  • Ability to manage client relationships and support fast-moving deal execution
  • Strong drafting, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school
  • Prior Am Law or large international law firm experience preferred

This firm offers a top-tier platform for capital markets work, with significant exposure to investment banks and public company clients. Associates gain hands-on experience, meaningful client interaction, and the opportunity to develop strong technical and transactional skills early in their careers.

Compensation is highly competitive, with an anticipated salary range of approximately $225,000–$235,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. The firm also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, parental support programs, and generous paid time off.

Interested candidates should apply through Direct Counsel.
