Position Summary:The Internal Wholesaler is responsible for helping to drive sales in the financial institution channel, partnering with the Regional Vice President. This position works closely with the RVP and financial professionals to achieve territory sales goals for both annuity and life insurance products offered by EquiTrust.
The role features a high degree of proactive outreach, including webinars and phone calls to identify sales opportunities in the territory. The candidate will work collaboratively with additional members of the sales and marketing team to achieve desired goals.
What You'll Do:
  • Partners with the Regional Vice President (RVP) to identify and develop relationships with financial professionals to attain or exceed company goals.
  • Assists in the development of territory business plans.
  • Conducts proactive telephone sales presentations and regularly delivers webinar presentations highlighting EquiTrust products and solutions.
  • Leverages technology tools including Salesforce to identify, develop, and track selling opportunities.
  • Supports the sales desk on an as-needed basis with both inbound and outbound phone coverage as carryover or due to increases in volume from company initiatives.
  • Assists the RVP as an internal liaison to provide assistance with administration escalations to provide support and resolve issues.
  • Responds to and resolves requests according to EquiTrust policies in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner for external customers, departmental staff, and other EquiTrust personnel.
  • Attends and participates in various strategic partner meetings, sponsorships, and conferences, as needed.
  • Supports the Sales and Marketing team and/or other departments on an as-needed basis.
  • Willingly takes on additional responsibilities as requested to accomplish department and Company objectives.

What You'll Bring:Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or life and annuity industry experience required.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of annuity and/or life insurance sales experience required.
  • Experience using Salesforce.
  • Prior experience working with banks, broker-dealers, and/or marketing organizations.
  • Knowledge of the Fixed index & RILA annuity marketplace.
  • Life, Accident & Health Insurance license or ability to obtain the certification within 120 days of start date.
  • Willingness and/or ability to obtain FINRA Registrations, including but not limited to the Series 6, 7, and/or the 63, if required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong phone presence and skills in handling calls under pressure.
  • Demonstrates thorough, in-depth knowledge of company products, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize workflows, establish and meet deadlines and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of situations and respond to change in a positive manner.
  • Advanced computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple systems and programs including Microsoft Office, proprietary systems, and other technology solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required, including a high degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to adapt to an evolving marketplace.

  • Office Location: Mostly On-site.
  • Expected Travel: Moderate travel (10 - 20% of the time).
