An Equipment Rental Driver is responsible for transporting rental equipment, such as construction machinery, tools, or vehicles, from the rental company to customer locations and back. They ensure timely, safe delivery and pickup, often inspecting equipment for damage and verifying paperwork with customers. To thrive as an Equipment Rental Driver, you need a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), a clean driving record, and experience handling various types of heavy equipment. Job description

Description

Calibrated To Exceed Expectations
At UniFide CST, we're building something with intention. We're not a company content with maintaining the status quo; we're focused on growing strategically, operating smarter, and creating real value for our customers. Today, we're looking for an Equipment Rental Manager to take ownership of an established scale rental program and elevate it by driving utilization, sharpening operations, and growing revenue. If you're someone who wants real ownership over a revenue stream, who enjoys both closing deals and building systems, who sees inefficiencies and immediately starts designing a better way, this role was built for you!

Who We Are:

UniFide CST is a primary distributor of weighing systems and data collection software. With a long-standing reputation for superior service and trusted products, our technical services, sales teams, and partners work together to deliver solutions, not transactions. Our success is built on credibility, accountability, and long-term customer relationships.

The Role:

This isn't a role where you inherit a fully built system; it's one where you take ownership of a proven revenue stream and make it better, smarter, and more scalable.

As Equipment Rental Manager, you'll oversee the full lifecycle of our scale rental program and drive revenue growth through operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You'll sit at the intersection of sales, operations, and strategy, with the autonomy to build processes, refine pricing, and create structure where it's needed.

What Success Looks Like (Day In The Life):

On any given day, you might:

  • Finalize pricing and availability on a rental opportunity while identifying a potential long-term customer relationship
  • Review rental asset utilization and make real-time decisions to improve equipment deployment
  • Walk the yard or connect with the service team to ensure equipment is ready, maintained, and not sitting idle
  • Partner with sales to determine whether a customer's need is best solved through rental or purchase
  • Refine a quoting or intake process to make it faster, clearer, and more scalable
  • Analyze performance data by adjusting pricing, identifying trends, and spotting opportunities
  • Follow up with a customer post-rental to ensure expectations were exceeded and secure repeat business
  • Build or improve SOPs that create consistency across locations and teams

Over time, success looks like:

  • Equipment that is utilized, not underused
  • Customers who return because the experience is easy, reliable, and responsive
  • Pricing that is intentional and market-aware
  • Processes that are clear, scalable, and consistently executed
  • A rental business that becomes a meaningful growth driver for the company

Who You Are:

You're someone who:

  • Thinks like an owner and takes accountability for outcomes
  • Enjoys both closing business and building systems
  • Sees inefficiencies and instinctively works to fix them
  • Is comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and adjusting quickly
  • Uses data to guide decisions, but doesn't rely on it to act
  • Can move between strategy and execution without losing momentum
  • Communicates well across teams and builds strong working relationships
  • Thrives in an environment where not everything is built yet

You likely bring experience in equipment rental, operations, logistics, or a related field, along with a strong sense of business ownership and the drive to grow something meaningful.

Benefits:

  • Company vehicle and equipment
  • Competitive salary + commission
  • Health, dental, life, and vision insurance
  • 3 weeks of PTO
  • 8 paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
  • A team-first culture where leadership, accountability, and collaboration matter

Why UniFide CST:

If you're looking for a role where you can truly own the outcome, shape the direction, and see the direct impact of your work, this is that opportunity. At UniFide CST, this isn't about stepping into a fixed lane; it's about building the lane, improving it, and accelerating what's possible. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, the support to execute them, and the visibility to see your impact across the business. If you're motivated by growth, energized by solving problems, and ready to take responsibility for something that matters, apply today!
