Job description

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, developing maintenance strategies, and leading a team of skilled technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production. This is an outstanding opportunity for a maintenance professional looking to advance their career with a company that values operational excellence, employee development, and continuous improvement.  Key Responsibilities Lead and support maintenance operations for an assigned production area and shift Assist in planning, organizing, and directing daily maintenance activities while establishing effective work methods and procedures Supervise maintenance personnel and provide coaching, training, and performance leadership Develop equipment layouts and support the installation of new machinery and process improvements Prepare estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and project requirements Oversee the repair and maintenance of mechanical, structural, and facility-related systems Review completed work orders and help establish maintenance standards and best practices Manage and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Analyze downtime trends and equipment history to identify chronic reliability issues and implement long-term corrective actions Partner with operations and engineering teams to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency Ensure maintenance activities comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, cost reduction, and operational performance   Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline 3–5 years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs and CMMS platforms Knowledge of equipment layout, drafting, project management, ergonomic design, and CAD systems Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and leadership skills Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments is highly preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities while leading teams in a fast-paced production setting Preferred Skills Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Equipment Reliability & Root Cause Analysis CMMS Administration Capital Projects & Equipment Installation Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Team Leadership & Employee Development Mechanical & Industrial Systems Food Manufacturing or Other Regulated Production Environments Additional Information Email: cpaisley irgsolution.com Subject: Maintenance Superintendent- Florence, SC Meet Your Recruiter Craig Paisley
