Job description

Position Summary

The Site Operations Manager will manage the daily materials management operations of an outdoor construction materials yard. This position will have overall accountability for the receipt and put away of materials in a safe manner, recording and tracking of the materials and the subsequent shipment out. In addition, the Site Operations Manager will deliver ongoing leadership, support, guidance and development to team members on site. This role will build and maintain a culture of responsiveness to customer needs and will create, implement, and communicate new and existing policies and procedures to staff members. Partners with Agile’s cross-functional teams, and vendors to resolve issues involving customer needs. Salary range for this position is from $100,000 - $125,000.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Dedicated supervision of an electrical materials lay-down yard.

· Manages the daily materials management operations on the yard, including receipt, put away, inventory, pick/ship, quality, inspection, and overall site safety.

· Provides overall leadership and direction for the yard materials management team, including but not limited to a Yard Foreman, Equipment Operations, General Laborers, and Inventory Control Coordinators

· Understands complex materials and logistics terminology.

· Understands how material activities are relevant in a project environment.

· Ensure the company and client Health & Safety program is fully adhered to with the team on site.

· Prepares program and material status reports, as assigned.

· Understands company materials responsibilities and information requirements needed to support the scope.

· Provides guidance and feedback on process improvements.

· Performs complex material administration activities to support project teams.

· Work closely with program members, suppliers, administrators, and internal procurement personnel to make sure all deadlines are met, and delays are mitigated before/during/and after material has been received.

· Collaborates with client to ensure schedules are maintained and pro‐actively manages any possible delays.

· Serves as the first Point of Contact and onsite representative of company with the client.

· Attends and leads meetings as required.


Competencies

· Competency with Microsoft office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint).

· Follows company and client Health & Safety Program to ensure their own safety as well as safety those on site.

· Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management.

· Understanding of forecasting and budgeting, and P&L (Profit and Loss) management.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to professionally represent the company and program in multiple settings.

· Presents numerical data effectively and can read and interpret written information.

· Excellent organization and analytical skills, and attention to detail.

· Ability to multitask, think strategically, problem solve and collaborate with team members.

· Highly motivated, results-focused focused and act with a high sense of urgency.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Provides daily direction and oversight of the entire materials management team including responsibility for adherence to all company and client policies and procedures.

· Trains and monitors new and existing staff to ensure compliance with site safety and operating rules and regulations.

· Ensures all company SOPs and Work Instructions are maintained and adhered to by all company team members.


Education and Experience

Required education and experience

· Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or in a directly related discipline

· Experience working in warehouse or construction yards.

· Experience in shipping and receiving.
