Kimball Equipment Company, a leader in the aggregate mining and supply industry since 1946, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our growing team. As an established dealer for industry-leading brands such as Terex Cedarapids, Terex Finlay, and Superior Industries, we are expanding rapidly and looking for a motivated, hands-on leader to support and drive our continued growth.
JOB STATEMENT
Working alongside the General Manager, this role supports all operational functions at the location, including the warehouse, inside sales, outside sales, and service teams. The Operations Manager oversees resources, drives process improvements, and ensures that day-to-day execution aligns with company goals and customer expectations. The ideal candidate is self-driven, demonstrates strong leadership qualities, and thrives in an industrial environment while effectively supporting and developing teams.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with the General Manager to lead day-to-day branch operations and achieve sales, service, and financial objectives.
  • Become proficient in the company ERP system and identify training needs to support accurate and efficient system use.
  • Align with the General Manager to ensure seamless coordination with inside and outside sales, supporting both customer satisfaction and overall branch performance.
  • Collaborate with warehouse manager to ensure efficient processes for inventory movement, fulfillment, and workflow optimization.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety standards and operational procedures to maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
  • Work closely with the General Manager on operational planning and business growth initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Review key performance indicators (KPIs) and work with General Manager to meet require goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Manage Telematics software to ensure safe driving practices, driver vehicle inspection reports and vehicle maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Prior experience in operations management (dealership or equipment industry experience is a plus).
  • 5+ years of progressive operations or management experience in an industrial, construction, manufacturing, or service-based environment.
  • Ability to respond quickly, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with team members at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of operational metrics, budgeting, and cost-control processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with teams, vendors, and management.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft office, spreadsheets, and operational reporting tools.

COMPENSATION
  • Full benefits package including PTO, 401(k), vision, dental, life, and health insurance.
  • Base salary from $115,000+, commensurate with experience. Highly qualified candidates may be considered for compensation above this level.
