What does an Equal Opportunity Manager do?

An Equal Opportunity Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within an organization. They ensure compliance with equal opportunity laws and policies, handle complaints regarding discrimination or harassment, and provide training to staff on related topics. Their work helps create a fair and inclusive workplace where all individuals have equal access to opportunities and resources.

How does an Equal Opportunity Manager typically collaborate with other departments to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace?

Equal Opportunity Managers work closely with HR, leadership teams, and department heads to develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. They often lead training sessions, review hiring and promotion practices, and address concerns or complaints related to discrimination or bias.
