Description

USEMCO Inc. is seeking an Industrial Painter/ Sand Blaster to join our team! As an Industrial Painter/ Sand Blaster you will apply finishes to large pump stations, large fuel tanks, and various metal fabrications. The coatings vary based on the needs of each customer, including but not limited to two part epoxy and urethane. Experience with plural components a plus. Applicants should feel comfortable performing physical tasks in a factory setting, working in a down draft spray booth.


Position: Industrial Painter/ Sand Blaster

1st Shift/Full-Time: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Competitive Starting Pay: $20.42 - $21.63/hr., BOE

Working Conditions: Indoors, no travel

Location: Tomah, WI 54660

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Sandblast surfaces or remove rust as necessary
  • Perform pre-painting activities on parts in preparation for painting/fabrication
  • Mix and apply paint or other coatings
  • Utilize instrumentation to measure painting parameters to ensure compliance with OEM specifications
  • Assist to appropriately rig large objects for the purpose of moving them in the process of applying the industrial coatings
  • Adhere to all OSHA and HazMat Procedures with the respect to the storage and handling of materials in the area

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS


High school diploma or GED certificate a plus

1+ years industrial painting or sandblasting experience

Experience working in a down draft spray booth

Knowledge of surface preparation to ensure proper coating adhesion

Ability to work in very confined spaces or at heights up to 20 feet in the air

Physical stamina

Attention to detail

Ability to operate equipment such as simple hand tools, spray guns, cleaning equipment, a tape measure, and an overhead crane

Ability to perform calculations relating to paint mixing and spraying operations.
