Job description

Floor Coverings International of Mission Viejo is looking for a motivated In-Home Sales Consultant to join our growing team. This role is responsible for meeting homeowners at their property, presenting our epoxy flooring systems, and guiding customers through the process of transforming their garage with a premium coating system.
As an In-Home Sales Consultant, you will conduct scheduled consultations with homeowners who are interested in upgrading their garage floors. You will assess the space, educate the customer on different epoxy systems, including solid color, decorative flake, and metallic finishes, and provide a clear proposal that leads the homeowner to move forward with the project. This position requires strong communication skills, confidence in closing deals, and experience within the flooring or epoxy coatings industry.
The ideal candidate is comfortable presenting solutions in a homeowner's environment, understands the value of quality surface preparation and coating systems, and is able to clearly explain the benefits of professional epoxy installation.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-home consultations with prospective customers throughout Orange County and Los Angeles.
  • Present Terrafina Epoxy's garage flooring systems, including solid color, flake, and metallic epoxy finishes.
  • Assess the customer's garage space and recommend the most appropriate flooring solution.
  • Deliver a structured sales presentation that explains the installation process, materials, warranties, and timeline.
  • Provide pricing proposals and guide homeowners toward moving forward with the project.
  • Follow up with prospects who are considering the service and answer questions as needed.
  • Communicate with the operations team to ensure accurate job information and scheduling once projects are sold.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the Terrafina Epoxy brand at all consultations.
  • Conduct a final walkthrough with customer in home to ensure 100% satisfaction with job

Requirements
  • Experience in flooring, epoxy coatings, or related home improvement sales.
  • Proven sales experience with the ability to close deals in a residential setting.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust quickly with homeowners and clearly explain product benefits.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to appointments throughout Orange County and Los Angeles.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling epoxy flooring, garage coatings, or decorative concrete systems.
  • Background in home services sales such as flooring, remodeling, coatings, or construction.
  • Familiarity with measuring spaces and estimating project costs.

Compensation
  • 10% of sales price, paid weekly and after installation and your final walkthrough with customer
