Description: EPJ Forklift Operator & Order Picker - Job Description
An EPJ Forklift Operator and Order Picker is responsible for efficiently selecting, moving, and preparing products for shipment using an electric pallet jack. This role combines material handling with accurate order fulfillment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) to transport materials safely throughout the warehouse
Pick customer orders accurately using pick tickets, RF scanners, or voice systems
Load and unload trucks, pallets, and storage racks
Stage and organize products for shipping and delivery
Verify item quantities and inspect products for damage or defects
Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts
Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
Skills & Qualifications
Experience operating an EPJ or other warehouse equipment (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking
Ability to read and understand work orders or digital picking systems
Good time management and ability to meet productivity goals
Physical stamina to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items (typically up to 50 lbs or more)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Safety & Compliance
Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines at all times
Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues
Use proper lifting techniques and wear required PPE
