Job description

Lecturer Position in Public Health at Purdue University

The Department of Public Health in the College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) seeks applicants with expertise in experiential learning for a new lecturer position. This position will be a 12 month, FY appointment. This position will have primary responsibilities for teaching in our Master of Public Health (MPH) programs (residential and online), as well as working in partnership with our excellent faculty, lecturers, and staff in our other degree programs (https://hhs.purdue.edu/research/departmental-research/department-of-public-health-research/). This position will build relationships with community partners, facilitate the placement of MPH students each semester into practicum, while also teaching our practicum prep and practicum courses. The teaching load for a lecturer is 10 courses over three semesters (Fall, Spring, Summer).

The department provides exceptional undergraduate and graduate education and currently serves over 150 undergraduate students and 230 graduate students. Degree programs include the BS, MS, and PhD in Public Health, an online Master of Health Administration (MHA) (currently in CAHME Candidacy Status), and a CEPH-accredited residential and online MPH. Our MPH program currently has concentrations in: Community Health, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics.

Requirements

PhD/DrPH in public health or doctoral degree in a related field. 3+ years of applied public health experience preferred.
