Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for a Pipe Yard Supervisor to be an integral part of our Distribution team. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Prepare or direct preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals.
  • Confer with department heads to coordinate storage of material in warehouse in the proper row/rack/bin locations.
  • Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.
  • Train, develop, and implement standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, and storing of products and materials.
  • Develop and implement plans for facility optimization for inventory storage.
  • Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
  • Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
  • Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
  • Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
  • Examine products or materials to estimate quantities or weight and type of container required for storage or transport.
  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.

  • Experience: 5+ Years of Relevant Experience; Pettibone operator experience: Preferred
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, RF Smart, Oracle/JD Edwards: Preferred
  • Certification/Licenses: None specifically required
