Epic Beaker CP/AP Support Analyst
The Epic Beaker CP/AP Support Analyst provides operational, technical, and workflow support for Epic Beaker and related laboratory information systems across inpatient and outpatient environments. This role ensures reliable laboratory operations through system monitoring, issue resolution, interface support, testing, upgrades, data validation, and workflow optimization.
The ideal candidate holds current Epic Beaker CP/AP certification and has hands-on experience supporting Beaker in a hospital laboratory setting. Strong knowledge of Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, LIS functionality, laboratory interfaces, orders, results, specimen tracking, system mappings, and cross-application workflows is required. Experience with HL7, interface engines, and Epic integrations is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support daily LIS operations and related interfaces.
  • Troubleshoot Epic integrations, interface errors, result transmission issues, and data discrepancies.
  • Configure, test, and maintain system mappings.
  • Validate laboratory orders, results, and specimen tracking across systems.
  • Support upgrades, patches, enhancements, and testing activities.
  • Partner with laboratory staff, clinicians, IT teams, vendors, and operational leaders to resolve issues and improve workflows.
  • Document system configurations, workflows, and issue resolutions.
  • Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Epic Beaker CP/AP certification
  • Hospital-based Epic Beaker support experience
  • Knowledge of HL7 messaging, interfaces, and Epic integration
  • Strong understanding of clinical laboratory workflows and terminology
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
