Remote Work Eligibility: This position is eligible for remote work within the continental United States, subject to applicable state and local employment requirements. Hours of Work: The selected candidate's work schedule will be aligned with Pacific Time.
At NorthBay Health, the Epic Security Administrator is a senior level technical role responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of user access and security with the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. This position ensures that access to Epic applications is provisioned appropriately and securely across clinical, financial, and administrative teams, while ensuring ongoing compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The Epic security administrator serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for Epic security and identity management, and requires advanced knowledge of Epic security structures, strong analytical and technical skills, and experience collaborating across clinical, operational and IT teams.

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Health Informatics, or related field (or 8 years equivalent experience).

Licensure/Certification:
  • Epic Security Certification required (or obtained within six months).

Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Epic security administration or healthcare identity and access management.
  • Experience with Epic's Hyperspace and security tools such as UserWeb, Chronicles, and Master File Maintenance.

Skills:
  • Deep understanding of Epic security model, including templates, user roles, and SER/EMP records.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of audit and compliance frameworks such as HITRUST or NIST.

Hours of Work:
  • Normally works eight-hour day.
  • Hours will vary according to work demands and project requirements; may require on-call support during upgrades and implementations.

Remote Work Eligibility:
  • This position is open to candidates located within the continental United States. Due to state-specific employment requirements and workers' compensation regulations, we are unable to support remote work arrangements in the following locations: Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Compensation Structure
NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1-5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.
