Job description

Travel RN - Emergency Department (ER) | Macon, GAKey Responsibilities
  • Assess, triage, and stabilize emergency patients

  • Manage trauma, stroke, chest pain, MVC, and critical medical emergencies

  • Administer medications, IV pushes, and titratable drips

  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to acute changes

  • Perform rapid patient reassessments and escalate care

  • Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and ED support teams

  • Assist in trauma activations and emergency code situations

  • Use EPIC for real-time charting and documentation

  • Float within ED zones as needed

  • Provide safe patient handoff during shift changes

Requirements
  • 2+ years of ED RN experience

  • Experience in Level I Trauma ER

  • Active RN license (state or compact)

  • Strong experience with:

  • critical patients

  • stroke and chest pain protocols

  • trauma response

  • titratable drips

    Certifications

  • BLS

  • ACLS

  • PALS

  • TNCC

  • Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR)(must pass EKG competency exam)

  • CEN certification

  • Previous travel RN experience (not required)

  • Comfortable in teaching hospital environment
