JOB POSITION:

Youth Programs EPIC Paraprofessional

LOCATION:

District Wide

CLASSIFICATION:

MSEA Level I

RATE OF PAY:

$19.61/hour

HOURS PER DAY:

Varies
DAYS PER WEEK: Dependent on student enrollment
START & ENDING TIME:
Varies PROGRAM DATES: This is a casual, as-needed position. Hours and days will vary based on student enrollment, individual student support needs, and program needs. The primary anticipated need is MondayFriday from approximately 7:00 AM 9:15 AM supporting CMS Mornings when paraprofessional support is required. Additional hours may be available throughout the year supporting EPIC enrichment classes, camps, and other youth programming. Hours are not guaranteed and may vary from week to week.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
  • Strong reading, writing and math skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
  • Ability to problem solve, be sensitive to the needs of academically challenged students.
  • Ability to supervise children in a positive manner.
  • Knowledge of discipline policies & procedures.
  • Ability to follow the teacher's plan & direction; monitor situation in the classroom & adjust accordingly.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience working with children.
