Job description

The Revenue Cycle Project Manager independently manages complex revenue cycle projects from initiation through implementation, transition, and benefit realization. This role coordinates interdisciplinary teams, operational stakeholders, vendors, information technology partners, and revenue cycle leaders to deliver defined project outcomes within the approved scope, timeline, and budget. The position strengthens project discipline by maintaining project artifacts, communicating risks and decisions, and guiding consistent project management practices across assigned initiatives.
Annual Salary Range: $83,116.80 - $132,995.20
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Health Information Management, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
  • An equivalent combination of education and directly related revenue cycle, healthcare operations, or training experience may be considered.
  • A master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:
  • Requires three (3) or more years of relevant experience managing revenue cycle, healthcare operations, healthcare information technology, process improvement, or project management initiatives.
  • Requires experience coordinating interdisciplinary project teams, documenting project plans and artifacts, tracking risks and issues, communicating project status, and supporting implementation or transition to standard operations.
  • Requires working knowledge of project management practices, change management concepts, revenue cycle operations, vendor coordination, Microsoft Office tools, and project documentation methods.
  • Experience managing complex healthcare revenue cycle projects, Epic revenue cycle application initiatives, enterprise system implementations, or cross-functional operational improvement projects preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, dashboards, project health reporting, or similar project management and documentation tools preferred.
  • Experience in an academic medical center or large integrated healthcare system preferred.

Certification/Licensure:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or related project/process improvement certification preferred.
  • Epic revenue cycle application certification or credential is preferred.
