Summary:

A System Preference Card Coordinator manages and updates preference cards in the EPIC/OpTime system. Preference cards outline the specific instruments equipment and supplies individual surgeons require for operations. This role brings surgical staff inventory management and IT together to reduce case delays prevent supply waste and ensure operating rooms are prepared properly and the patient has the needed supplies. This role specifically will be to update and ensure surgical preference cards are accurate. This role will require the employee to travel to all hospitals on an as needed basis.

Education:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent AND completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Program. 

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in multiple surgical specialties as a surgical technician. 
  • Knowledge of surgical instrumentation supplies and equipment. 
  • Knowledge of medical and surgical asepsis and infection control principles 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology 
  • Verbal and non-verbal communication skills 
  • Computer Skills g. Ability to work with people cross departmental.
