Job Summary:
  • Utilizing significant technical experience and expertise, the Technical Lead supports an application or infrastructure team with planning, system analysis, design, application build, testing, maintenance, support, and completion of assigned project work.
  • This role is critical to solution development and technical strategy, with a focus on necessary product evolution. The Technical Lead applies knowledge of healthcare workflows and customer needs within their domain to inform recommendations for solutions and service implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide architectural expertise, direction, and industry knowledge to support optimally functioning teams and tools that contribute to organizational goals.
  • In collaboration with leadership, proactively manage and recommend optimization and process-improvement opportunities.
  • Lead integrated discussions focused on problem identification, resolution options, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on complex workflows, upgrades, system changes, and enhancements to outline capabilities and required decisions.
  • Communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with stakeholders to reach consensus when appropriate.
  • In collaboration with leadership, develop and monitor team goals and objectives, including delegating tasks as needed.
  • Develop long-term technical roadmaps and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining IT tools and applications.
  • Evaluate, document, and present solution requirements, estimated durations, and risks associated with design choices.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing education to build and enhance team members' knowledge and subject-matter expertise.
  • Provide input to management regarding hiring decisions and performance coaching.
  • Lead projects or cross-functional sections of projects as assigned.
  • Create and deliver presentations to leaders, distilling complex technical designs, risks, actions, and high-level work details.
  • Perform duties and functions of assigned team technicians as needed.

  • 8+ years of IT experience, specifically within the applicable function such as Clinical, Cybersecurity, Network, or related areas.
  • Expert knowledge of position-specific technologies, industry standards, and emerging trends.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with teams, peers, stakeholders, and customers.
